Biotechnology study in India

The basic groundwork preparation for entry into biotechnology would be the science stream at the plus two level. Since you have finished PUC in commerce you are not eligible to take up a BSc in biotechnology. Of course, Manipal Sikkim University and IGNOU offer a BSc in Biotechnology & Life Science respectively through correspondence mode, but the eligibility qualification is science combination at the plus two level. Even if you study either biotech or life sciences and do BSc via correspondence, you will have to study a PG course to get into the field of biotech.
Another option open for you is to take up specialisation in nursing and do post-diploma courses in areas such as Medical Surgical Nursing in OT, nursing, Cardiothoracic/Vascular, Neuro-medical and Neurosurgical, Cancer (Oncology), Nephrology and Urology, Paediatric, Psychiatric, Geriatic, Obstetrical and Gynaecological, Rehabilitation Techniques etc.
