Eligibility:

Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination with minimum of 45 per cent.The candidates, who are due to appear in Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination, are eligible to apply.The questions in the entrance examination would be of objective type, short answers, etc, and within the broad spectrum of general knowledge, general English and elementary knowledge on the culture and civilization of the languages/ country concerned and aptitude for language skills. Previous years’ question papers may be obtained as per instructions on the website and in the prospectus. Admission tests for various other fulltime programmes of study at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (www.jnu.ac.in), such as MPhil/ PhD, MTech (computer science and technology)/ PhD, MTech in
computational and systems biology, MA (Sanskrit, politics with specialisation in IR/ economics with specialisation in world economy, economics, geography, history, political science and sociology, art and aesthetics, MA in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Linguistics, Persian, Russian, Spanish and Urdu) MSc (environmental sciences/ life sciences/ physics), and MCA between May 15 to May 18, 2009. Between 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm (Mon to Fri) personally on cash payment of Rs 200 per set. By post against Rs 300 by DD payable to Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, with sae unstamped of not less than 30cmX25cm size, indicating clearly the category for which the form is required on the top of the self-addressed envelope.
