How to become a Pilot

Beyond the obvious glamour and good money,the career of a commercial pilot is full of responsibilities.

Preparation of the flight plan,analyzing meteorological reports,checking the air worthiness of the aircraft,checking the fuel and cargo load,monitoring the automatic flying system and maneuvering navigational and communications system are some of the duties of the pilot.he should be a leader to his team and have the courage and confidence to make quick decisions.

Courses

To become a commercial pilot in India one must possess a student pilot licence(SPL),private pilot license(PPL),commercial pilot license.

Student pilot licence (SPL)
Eligibility 10+2 with science and aged at least 16 years.
Admission eligible candidate should register at a flyig club recognized by directorate general of civil aviation(DGCA), government of India.registration requires a medical certificate,secutity clearance and a bank guarantee..


Selection procedure: candidates taking the SPL test have to appear in an oral test on a fixed day every month.candidate go thrugh a medical test at airforce central medical establishment(AFCME),subroto park,new delhi and institute of aviatuion medicine(IAM),vimanpura,Bangalore. After clearing the medical test, the candidate is required to pass the pilot aptitude test
