Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Test

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has invited applications for selection test to be held on February 7, 2010 for admission to class VI. Education in Navodaya Vidyalayas is free of cost.

A total of 75 per cent seats are reserved for rural children and 33 per cent seats are reserved for girls.
All the children who have studied in and passed from class V from any recognised school of that district and are between 9 to 13 years of age are eligible to appear in the selection test.
Apart from English, the test will be conducted in 21 Indian languages , and is largely non-verbal and objective in nature.
No candidate is allowed to appear for the selection test for the second time.
Application forms and prospectus can be had from the Navodaya Vidyalaya functioning in each district or from the DEO offices.
It can also be downloaded from www.navodaya.nic.in.
Filled-in applications countersigned by the Headmaster of the school in which the applicant is studying, should be submitted before September 15
