The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, located at Navy Nagar, Colaba, Mumabi is India's premier institution for advanced research in fundamental sciences. Institute was established in 1945 under the direction of Homi J. Bhabha with the help of JRD Tata. This is a autonomous institute under Dept. of Atomic Energy and it has campuses in Pune and Bangalore and research facilities in various places in India.

The Graduate programme classified in to following subjects
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer & Systems Sciences and Science Education
Application Fee (Non-Refundable): Rs 500/- for online applications and Rs 550/- for manual applications. Rs 800/- for students who wish to take the test as walk-in candidates (Please see the walk-ins section on this website).
Demand Draft: Biology: DD should be drawn on State Bank of India in favour of "National Centre for Biological Science" payable at Bangalore. Other Subjects: DD should be drawn on State Bank of India in favour of "Tata Institute of Fundamental Research" payable at Mumbai.
