Women Scholarship Scheme

Women having qualifications in science/ engineering/ medicine or allied fields. Women Scientist Scholarship Scheme (WOS-C) is operated by the Department of Science and Technology. The scheme aims to train scientists in the area of intellectual property rights (IPR) and their management for a period of one year. The scheme is being coordinated and implemented by the Patent Facilitating Centre (PFC) of Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) on behalf of DST. Scholarship will be admissible for a period of one year, and the scholarship amount will be Rs 12,500 per month for candidates with MSc/ BTech/ BPharm/ MBBS or equivalent qualification, and Rs 17,500 per month for PhD, MTech, MPharm, MVSc and MS/ MD. Selection is through a written test and interview.
Any Indian nationalities with Master degree in Science subjects/ doctorate in science in physical sciences, chemical sciences, life sciences or allied areas, bachelor’s or master’s degree holder in engineering, medicine, pharmaceutical science, veterinary science or allied areas. Candidates with higher qualifications are welcome to apply; familiar with handling computerised databases, surfing the Internet and information searches; not more than 50 years of age as on the date of the advertisement.
