University of Calcutta M.Phil Admission 2010-2012

 Applications have been invited by University of Calcutta for two years M.PHIL. COURSE in BENGALI, ENGLISH, SANSKRIT, PALI, HINDI, COMMERCE, PHILOSOPHY, HISTORY, ANCIENT INDIAN HISTORY AND CULTURE, URDU, SOUTH AND SOUTH EAST ASIAN STUDIES, EDUCATION, SOCIOLOGY and LIBRARY & INFORMATION SCIENCE (self financed) for the session 2010-12.

Any candidate who has passed the M.A,/M.SC./M.COM. or equivalent Examination with 55% marks in aggregate (SC/ST with 50% marks) or with 60% marks in aggregate of any recognized University. For South and South-East Asian Studies, students of Social science will be admitted in M.Phil. programme in South and Southeast Asian Studies, but special weightage will be given to those who have done their M.A in South & South-East Asian Studies. Students with Master Degree in Ancient Indian History and Culture, Islamic History and Culture, Archaeology, Museology and History are eligible to apply.

Application forms are available at University of Calcutta- Sales Counter (College Street Campus) on payment of Rs. 465/- for form plus Rs. 35/- for a copy of a Brochure.

Completed application forms except forms for Education, Sociology and Library and Information Science are to be submitted at the Office of the Sr. Secretary, U.C.A.C., College Street Campus, Asutosh Building, Ground Floor, Room No. 3G.

Forms for Education and Sociology are to be submitted to the concerned departments at the Alipore Campus, 1, Reformatory Street, Kolkata-700 027. Forms for Library and Information Science are to be submitted in the concerned department at Asutosh Building, 3rd floor. Last date for submission of completed application is 08-11-2010.
