Career in Pharmaceutical Science

With the pharmaceutical industry growing in size the right candidate can find jobs with a great future.
Pharmacists are concerned with production productive processes, quality control and testing drugs. They are also in charge of dispensing of drugs in a hospital/private pharmacy.

Courses
There are many courses for pharmaceutical studies. They vary from two-year diploma to 3 or 4 year Bachelors degree courses to 2 or 3 year Masters degree course
Eligibility
For the three main courses in pharmacy the eligibility criteria is as follows:
D.Pharm. (Diploma in Pharmacy): +2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and biology or mathematics.
B.Pham. (Bachelor in Pharmacy); +2 or equivalent with 50% aggregate in physics , chemistry, biology mathematics. Alternately, the candidate should have passed D.Pham. The entrance examination is conducted with the approval of Pharmacy Council of India
M.Pharm. (Master in Pharmacy): B.Pharm with at least 60% marks from recognized University/institute (AICTE/PCI approved). Duration of the course is 18 months. Pharmacy teachers with B.Pharm and a minimum five years of teaching experience in any institution approved by AICTE are also eligible for M.Pharm course.
