Central Institute of Psychiatry PG Admission

Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi, has invited applications for admission to the following postgraduate degree / diploma courses affiliated to Ranchi University and to be commenced in May 2, 2011.

1) M.D. (Psychiatry)
2) Diploma in Psychological Medicine
3) Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
4) M.Phil in Medical & Social Psychology
5) M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work
6) Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing

Minimum Qualification needed for admission to the courses are as follows:
1) M.D. (Psychiatry): M.B.B.S. degree of any University recognized by Medical Council of India, with one year rotating Internship completed by February,15, 2011.
2) Diploma in Psychological Medicine: M.B.B.S. degree of any University recognized by Medical Council of India, with one year rotating Internship completed by February, 15, 2011.
3) Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology: First Class Master’s degree Psychology regular course Or M.Phil in Medical & Social Psychology Clinical Psychology of any recognized University, for 3 years and 2 years course respectively.
4) M.Phil in Medical & Social Psychology: MA/M.Sc. in Psychology regular course of a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.
5) M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work: M.A. in Sociology or Social Work regular course of a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.
6) Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing: ‘A’ Grade Certificate or Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery
Experience : Two years experience as Staff Nurse
