SC/ ST/ physically challenged students pursuing a full-time degree in engg. 35 scholarships are to be awarded to students (refer www.ntpc.co.in). The amount of scholarship admissible from the second year till the final year subject to the condition that the student meets the minimum qualifying criterion for success in each year would be Rs 1,500 a month.
Who can apply?
Students belonging to SC/ ST/ physically challenged categories pursuing full-time degree in engg in the disciplines of electrical/ instrumentation/ mechanical/ chemical/ comp sci/ electronics/ telecom from a recognized college/ institute and should be in the third year in the session 2010-2011. Those who have successfully completed first year degree course in 2009 and second year in 2010 in the first attempt only need apply. They should not be receiving any financial aid or assistance from any source.
