Agricuture Research Scholarships

  INDIAN COUNCIL PF AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH, Education Division,Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan,Pusa,New Delhi 110012, conducts Competitive Examination for filling up 15% of the total number of seats in 41 Agricultural Universities in 10 subjects of Under Graduate degree  programmes including Agriculture,Horticulture,Fisheries Science, Forestry, Home Science,Sericulture,Agricultural Engineering ,Dairy Technology, Food Science & Technology and Agriculture Marketing Banking & Co-operation, and 100% of the seats at National Dairy Research Institute Karnal (Haryana) in Dairy Technology. There is no direct nomination of any candidates for admission in any Under Graduate degree programme .The examination is held in May.
Eligibility: Age between 17 years and 23 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission. No relaxation of age is allowed to candidate of any category. He/She should be an Indian National. He/she must have passed and obtained not less than 50% (for General category) and 40% marks (for SC/ST and PH category) in 10+2 examination. He/she must have passed in English. Any student having compartment/supplementary in any subject in the qualifying examination i.e.10+2 is not eligible for admission. Candidates appearing I the qualifying examination in the year of admission is also eligible to appear in this test subject to his/her fulfilling the eligibility criteria on the date of Counseling.
National Talent Scholarship is awarded to promote agriculture education in the country, under this, scholarship @ Rs. 1000/-per month is awarded to all the finally admitted candidates who join any University which is not within the domicile state of the candidate.
Candidates must be at least 17 years of age but not more than 23 years on or before 31st December of the year of examination. Relaxation in age is NOT available for any category

Any candidate having compartment/supplementary in any subject I the qualifying examination i.e.10+2 is not eligible for admission. One who is appearing for 10+2 examination in the year of examination can also apply in this test subject to his/her producing 10+2 passing certificate on the date of Counseling.
Scheme of Examination: There is one question paper consisting of objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Agriculture for Stream-A and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for Stream-B The candidate may choose any stream as per their eligibility and choice of the subjects. The question paper is bilingual i.e. English & Hindi. Notification: February .Last date: March.Exam.May.

 HIGHER EDUCATION COMMISSINER, HARYANA Chandigarh, (Haryana), offers Scholarships to students who have passed specified examination in March/April for award of scholarship at the post-Metric stage3 under the following Scholarship Schemes:
1. National Merit Scholarships (Income limit Rs. 25, 000/-p.a.) on the basis of merit in Metric/10+2/T.D.C.final examination B.A.III/ B.Sc.III/B.Com.III/B.Ed.
2. Haryana State Silver Jubilee Merit Scholarship (No Income Limit) on the basis of Metric/10+2/T.D.C. B.A.III/B.Sc.III/B.Com.III/B.Ed.
 3.Merit Scholarship for children of working school teachers of Haryana on the basis of Metric and 10+2 examination.
 4. Haryana State Merit Scholarship on the basis of Metric/10+2/T.D.C.-III and M.A./M.Sc./M.Com.Examination.
5. One time scholarship to girl students taking up Medical /Non-Medical group at degree level (No Income Limit) on the basis of 10+2.
6. Govt of India Post Metric Scholarship to students belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (students who are studying (a) out of Haryana including Chandigarh (b) in Professional institutions which are not under the direct control of this department, should, however apply through their respective heads of institution to the Director, Welfare o Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes Department, Haryana, Chandigarh-17).
7.Scheme of post –Matric Scholarship to lower income group students on the basis of Matric/10+2/T.D.C. Final Examination /B.A.III/B.Sc.III/ B.Com.III/M.A.II/M.Com.II/M.Sc.II
8. State (Education) Welfare Scheme-Award of Stipend and reimbursement of Tuition fee & Exam.fee to Backward classes /Denotified (Vimukar Jatis) & Tapriwas students on the baiss of 10+2 /B.S.III/B.Sc.III/ B.Com/III
Last date for receipt of application forms through Heads of Institutions, where joined I Higher Class/Course (fresh as well as renewal of scholarships) under the schemes mentioned above is September. Last date for submission of application forms/claims to the Directorate is October (for exact date, you may refer to the official notification published by the competent authority).
