pplications have been invited for admission to two-year course in M.Sc Wildlife Science (affiliated to the Saurashtra University, Rajkot, Gujarat) commencing from June, 2011 at Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun. Admission to the course is through a National Entrance Test (NET) which is likely to be held on 27th March, 2011. and followed by a Personality Aptitude Test (PAT).

ELIGIBILITY:
1. Bachelor of Science degree with Biological Science as a major subject - Bachelor degree holder in Veterinary,  Forestry, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences are also eligible.
2. Minimum of 15 years of formal education (either 10+2+3 or 11+2+2)
3. Minimum of 55% aggregate marks in B.Sc.

Candidates appearing for final year/semester B.Sc. exam are also eligible to apply, provided they have secured a minimum of 50 % aggregate till second year and on completion of their degree will achieve a minimum of 55% aggregate. Foreign nationals who do not have English as their native language should provide evidence of proficiency in English (TOEFL or IELTS Score) for admission to this course.
Candidates with Bachelor Degree from Universities outside India should obtain certificates of equivalence from "The Secretary General, Association of Indian Universities, AIU House, 16, Comrade Indrajit Gupta Marg, New Delhi-110002"

AGE LIMIT:
The age limit is 25 years with relaxation of 5 years for reservation candidates, and for those candidates who are working in Forest and Wildlife Departments it is 35 years as on 1st July, 2011.

HOW TO APPLY:
(i) The application forms can be filled online.
A recent passport size color photograph in JPEG/JPG format (max 200 KB) should be kept ready for upload at the time of online submission. The date and application number details generated on submission of the online application will be sent to the candidates via his/her email id provided and so it is instructed that the email id given is valid.

(ii) In case of difficulties in filling online application the same can be downloaded from the website link: http://www.wii.gov.in/images/wii/msc/XIII/application_form.pdf
and sent by Registered/Speed Post along with self-attested legible photocopies of educational qualification certificates and mark sheets (X, XII and Graduation), proof of age, certificate if belonging to SC/ST/OBC, recent passport size color photographs (2 Nos.) and application fee in form of a Bank Draft.

Candidates who apply online also need to send the above mentioned documents by Registered/Speed Post and indicate on the envelope the Application Number and Date of Submission generated while submitting the online application.

The application fee for Indian Candidates is Rs. 300/- paid in the form of a bank draft in favor of Director, Wildlife Institute of India payable at Dehradun. Application fee is exempted for SC/ST candidates. Foreign nationals are required to pay an application fee of US$ 50.
Candidates working with Forest and Wildlife Departments should route their applications through proper channel.

The envelope containing the application and annexures as the case should be marked on top “APPLICATION FOR M.Sc WILDLIFE SCIENCE” and sent to the Course Director, XIII M.Sc Course, Wildlife Institute of India,  Chandrabani, Dehradun 248 001, Uttarakhand.

The last date for online application is 21st February, 2011 and to sent the  required documents by Registered/Speed Post  is on or before 28th February, 2011.
