SKP Scholarship for Study in UK

Following a generous gift made by Mr Krishna Pathak (a Friend of the College), Exeter College is offering the SKP Scholarship (linked to a Clarendon Award) for an Indian graduate student resident in India or Dubai who wishes to undertake a graduate degree at Exeter College, University of Oxford.
The Scholarship is tenable from 1 October 2010 for one year, renewable for a further two years, and will provide the full recommended living allowance of £13,590 per annum in addition to the Clarendon Award. The Scholarship is open to any student
Who can apply:
is an Indian citizen and resident in India or Dubai
· has undertaken an undergraduate degree at an Indian Institution of Higher
Education
· wishes to read for a graduate degree (including Master's courses by
coursework or research, or a Doctoral research degree, but excluding Clinical
Medicine, MBA and EMBA) at Exeter College, Oxford, in any subject which
would lead to the economic development of India:
o all subjects in the Medical Sciences and Maths, Physical and Life
Sciences Divisions, and also
o all subjects in the Humanities Division: excluding Film Aesthetics and
Medieval Studies, and also
o from the Social Sciences Division: Economics, Environmental Studies,
Education, Management Studies, Internet Studies, Politics and
International Relations, Social Policy and Social Work only
· commits to remaining at Exeter College for the duration of his or her degree
· expresses a willingness to return to India following their degree for a
minimum of two years

Applicants should apply to the University directly for a Clarendon Award, marking Exeter as their preferred College. If an applicant is successful in attaining a Clarendon Award and meets the above criteria, he or she will automatically be considered for a SKP Scholarship.
