Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Agriculture (PAJANCOA), Puducherry, has invited applications for admission to B.Sc(Agri) Programme of Academic Year 2011-12.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION: HSC/ Equivalent - Academic Stream
A pass in the Higher Secondary Course (10+2) or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to and fulfilling the following requirements:
(i) Candidates who studied any one the following groups:
Group-I: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology
Group-II: Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any one of the following subjects as fourth (elective) subject viz.,Biochemistry or Biotechnology or Microbiology or Home Science or Computer Science.
Group-II (A): Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
(ii) Eligible Minimum Qualifying Marks (Academic Stream / Vocational Stream):
Open Competition (OC) - 55% aggregate of all the four subjects
Backward Class (BC) and Backward Class Muslim (BCM) - 50% aggregate of all the four subjects
Most Backward Class (MBC) / Denotified Communities (DNC)/ Extreme Backward Class (EBC)/ Backward Tribe (BT) - 45% aggregate of all the four subjects
Scheduled Caste (SC) - A pass in qualifying examination
Scheduled Tribe (ST) - A pass in qualifying examination
(iii) Age limit:
Candidates should not have completed the age of 21 years on the first day of July of the admission year. However, for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes there is no age limit.
Application form: The cost of application form is Rs.100/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST)
Application forms can be obtained in person by paying the application fee in cash from the Dean, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Agriculture & Research Institute, Nedungadu Po., Karaikal-609 603.
The application can also be downloaded. Filled application attached with necessary application fee of Rs.100/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST) as Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Dean, PAJANCOA&RI, Kariakal from any Nationalalised Bank payable at Karaikal.
The last date for the submission of filled in admission applications along with copies of necessary certificates at PAJANCOA&RI, KARAIKAL-609 603 is 13.06.2011 [Monday] at 5.00 pm.
