Eligibility: First Class B.E / B.Tech. graduates with minimum of 60% marks / 6.5 CGPA (or 55% marks / 6 CGPA for SC / ST candidates) in Civil Engineering from a recognised Indian University/ Institute and qualified in GATE.
Age: Maximum 23 years ( as on 1st August, 2012) Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews to be conducted by IIT Madras in co-ordination with L&T.
Final selection will be subject to medical fitness as certified by L&Ts authorized medical centres. Undertaking: Candidates selected will have to execute an undertaking for a value of Rs 6.50 lakhs to serve the company for a minimum period of 5 years after completion of the course. Scholarship: A stipend of Rs 9000 per month will be paid by L&T for the entire duration of the course.
Award: On course completion, the top 25 % ranking scholars of this course will each receive an award of Rs 1 lakh. Absorption: On successful completion of the course, the candidates will be absorbed in regular employment in accordance with the terms and conditions of the company. Total emoluments on absorption will be up to Rs 5 lakhs per annum on Cost-to-Company (CTC) basis.
