JIPMER Pondichery PG Medical Entrance Exam 2017


Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER) is a leading medical institute in India. This institute is running under Government of India. Institute is conducting the entrance examination on 6 June 2017. Online application process will commence on 27 March 2017, 11 am. Applications can be submitted till 3 May 2017

JIPMER being an Institute of national importance (Act of Parliament) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India have been exempted from NEET (UG) for admission to MBBS Course in JIPMER, Puducherry.

JIPMER offers MBBS course in two campuses. A total of 200 MBBS seats are available at JIPMER with 150 at JIPMER, Puducherry and 50 at JIPMER, Karaikal.

The candidates are directed to upload a recent colour passport size photograph with light background. It must be noted that the photograph must be taken on or after 31.01.2017. Besides, it must be taken with a placard while the placard is being held by the candidate indicating name of candidate and date of taking photograph. In case name and date are written on the photograph after taking it, the application will be rejected.

Entrance Examination will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) (Online) only. The duration of the examination shall be two and half hours and will be conducted in two shifts. All candidates are directed to appear at CBT Online Entrance Examination, which will be conducted on 4th June, 2017 in either one of the shifts (10:00 AM to 12:30 PM (OR) 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM) as allotted by the competent authority.
