Exam: Written entrance exam For admission to: (i) Fouryear Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech) in Fashion Design/ Leather Design/ Accessory Design/ Textile Design/ Knitwear Design/ Fashion Communication (ii) Four-year Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech) in Apparel Production at National Institute of Fashion Technology centres at New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Rae Bareli Eligibility: (i) 10+2/ equivalent or pass grade in Sr Secondary Exam by National Open School with minimum five subjects or three to four years diploma, recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.The written exam will include the two-hour General Ability Test (GAT) which comprises sub-tests in quantitative ability (class 12 level), communication ability, English comprehension, analytical ability and business domain test and the three-hour Creative Ability Test (CAT) assesses power of observation, innovation and design ability.Weightage for GAT and CAT is 40 per cent each and 20 per cent for situation test held later in April-May 2008 (ii) 10+2/ equivalent with physics, chemistry and math at 10+2 level or Diploma in Engineering.Written test includes the two-hour GAT which comprises subtests in quantitative ability (class 12 level), communication ability, English comprehension, analytical ability and general knowledge and current affairs. Managerial Ability Test (MAT) comprises sub-tests in case study, business domain test and logical ability.
