Kannur University LLB Admission Test

The school of Legal Studies (Department of Law), Thalassery campus, Palayad, under the Kannur University has invited applications for an entrance test for admission to the following courses:


BA LLB (Hons) in criminal law and criminology: duration: 5 years; total seats: 40 Eligibility- a pass in Plus Two with not less than 50 per cent marks. Age limit: below 20 years as on June 1, 2009.

Selection is based on an entrance test and marks obtained in the Plus Two examination.

The test shall be of two-hour duration carrying 100 marks and covering questions in general knowledge, logical reasoning, legal aptitude and English language skills. The test will be conducted by the university.


LLM:
It is a full-time two year postgraduate programme comprising five compulsory papers, seven areas of specialisations and dissertations. Total seats: 12.

Eligibility:
A pass in LLB with 50 per cent marks in aggregate. Selection is based on an entrance test and interview conducted by the university.

The maximum marks allotted for the entrance test and interview is 75 and 25, respectively.

PG diploma in human rights law:

Eligibility: LLB or a three-year Bachelors degree in any discipline or engineering graduates or MBA degree holders can apply. The last date for the receipt of completed applications has been extended to August 14.
