L&T Build India Scholarship 2009 M.Tech Construction

The Build India Scholarship (BIS), a noble initiative introduced by L&T in collaboration with IIT Madras and IIT Delhi.
The objective of L&T–Build India Scholarship is to sponsor fresh, deserving engineering graduates interested in pursuing M.Tech in Construction Technology & Management at IIT (Madras and Delhi) and bear the complete expenses of the two year course. Internal Engineers, who joined the company as Graduate Engineer Trainees GETs) and completed 12 months of training at L&T, were also permitted to compete with external engineers to prove their way to the portals of IIT. By virtue of this scheme, L&T has been developing young graduate engineers and turning them in to hardcore Construction Technology Managers to manage the future of Construction.
This apart, candidates are paid stipend every month during their period of study. After successful completion of the two year programme, the candidates are also considered for absorption with L&T in regular employment in accordance with the company’s terms and conditions. Thus, over a period of time, L&T has built up a strong community of more than 500 BIS Scholars who are already working with L&T in various capacities at different locations in India and abroad.
