PhD in Science from NISER Bhubaneswar

National Institute of Science Education and Research, an autonomous institution under department of atomic energy, Bhubaneswar Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for admissions to PhD Program scheduled to commence from Dec 2009 in following schools of basic sciences at NISER Bhubaneswar

1. School of Biological Sciences
2. School of Chemical Sciences
3. School of Physical Sciences
4. School of Mathematical Sciences
Age: Not more than 28 years on December 01, 2009(Born on/after 01,1981)
Eligibility:
Biological Sciences: 55% in Masters in any branches of Biology, life sciences and bio informatics. People with masters in any branches of natural and computer sciences with interest in pursuing career in biology
Chemical Sciences: 55% in MSc or equivalent degree in chemistry/Biochemistry/Material Science
Mathematical Sciences: 55% in MSc or equivalent degree in Mathematics
Physical Sciences: 55% in MSc or equivalent degree in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematical Physics or equivalent degree in engineering EE/ME
CAndidates should have qualified the CSIR-NET/GATE/JEST/NBHM or
equivalent examination valid for the current year in the relevant area
of research. UGC-CSOR JRF qualified candidate can avail the fellowship
directly from UGC or CSIR, Whereas, studens selected for PhD.
program based on GATE/JEST scores, are eligible for financial aid(Assistanship/Scholarship)
from NISER, Bhubaneswar at par with CSIR fellowship.

Selection Procedure: Candidates who meet minimum educational qualifications and safisfy additional criteria as set by the departments will be called for interview by the selection committee. Based on the academic record and perfoamace of the candidate in the interview, the department selection committee will recommended candidates to Chairman Academic Council for admission to the PhD Program
