National Institute for Mentally Handicapped(under the ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India) is offering MSc in Disability Studies.
The course is designed to prepare the professionals from areas such as
medical, psychology, speech language and hearing, physiotherapy, occupational
therapy, and rehabilitation therapy on assessment, evaluation and intervention of
infants and toddlers at risk and / or with developmental delays in 0-3 years’ age
group
ELIGIBILITY:
The criteria for eligibility for admission are as follows:
The candidate should have a degree from a recognized university in any of the
following courses:
MBBS, BUMS, BAMS, Naturopathy, BHMS
BMR/BRS (MR)/BRT
BOT/BPT/BSc(HLS)
Masters in Child Development
M.Phil Psychology
PGDEI (proposed to apply directly to second year)
The candidate should have secured 50 % aggregate marks in the qualifying
degree examination in case of general candidates and 45% marks in case of SC and
ST candidates.
AGE:While no minimum and maximum age is prescribed, preference will be given to
those below 35 years of age.
