The Indian Institute of Crafts and Design, Jaipur has been set up
in 1999 by government of Rajastan as an autonomous institute of excellence
with a national mandate to act as a catalyst in the craft sector.
Since October 2007, it is managed and funded by Ambuja Educational Institute in
Public private partnership

Education Programmes at IICD
4 years Under Graduate Diploma in Craft Design
Fired Material Application: Terracotta, Ceramics
Hard Material Application: Wood, Metal, Store
Soft Material Application: Fibers, Fabrics, Paper, Leather
Eligbility: Clearance in 12th Board by 30th June 2010

2.5 year Post Graduate Diploma in Craft Design
Furniture & Interior Products
Home textiles: Flor coverings and Furnishings

1.5 years PG Diploma in Craft Management and Entrepreneurship
1year International Program in Craft Research and Development
Eligibility:
Degree in any discipline such as Arts, commerce, Science from a recognized university
Degree/Diploma in Fine arts, Design, Architecture, clothing & Textiles
Artisans' wards having completed higher secondary and having 5 years experience in traditional crafts
