International Scholarship for Artists

Call for emerging and mid career Indian artists. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated practitioners who feel they would benefit from the time, space and opportunity to undertake a residency at Spike Island.
The Charles Wallace India Trust has supported research residencies for emerging and mid career Indian artists at Spike Island since 1999. For the first time, Spike Island is accepting applications directly for the 2010 residency and will then make a recommendation to the Charles Wallace India Trust. A decision will be made in liaison with the Charles Wallace India Trust and artists will be notified by the end of January 2010.
The award for a three month residency covers international airfare; accommodation and living costs; private studio; on-going curatorial support, pastoral care and some technical assistance. Deadline: 10 January 2010. For details, visit: www.spikeisland.org.uk/residencies/charleswallace/2010
