Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree of a minimum of three years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognised university, in any discipline.
Candidates pursuing and completing their final year degree exams by June 11, 2011 are also eligible to apply, provided they have no backlog of the previous year’s exams at the time of submission of application. Specifics given in the prospectus online.
Selection Procedure:
Written test (i) The test would have caselets on social awareness and sensitivity to core and civic issues. Ability to take positions on issues would be evaluated (ii) There will be a descriptive test to assess awareness of social issues and sensitivity to people, problems and situations through analytical essay writing (iii) There will be an objective test on data interpretation, data sufficiency, reading comprehension relating to business, and HR issues, business knowledge, foundation of management (economics, sociological and psychological). Model question papers will be available on TISS website.
Application: Apply online through www.tiss.edu after making a payment of Rs 800 per course through any branch of SBI in India. Challan may be downloaded from the website. After online submission, print the form and attach the Challan of TISS copy and post to TISS, Mumbai. Unemployed SC/ ST candidates whose parents’ income is below Rs. One Lakh during 2009-10 can apply online free of cost, on the above method.
