Eligibility Criteria
Masters in Teacher Education :
* Bachelors degree in any discipline (including Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Commerce, Management, etc.)
* A professional teaching certification (B.Ed / D.Ed / B.El.Ed / B.Sc.Ed / B.A.Ed / NTT / M.A Ed or equivalent)
* A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the Pre-Primary/Primary/Secondary/Higher Secondary School level or their equivalent from the Alternative School system, or Open School system, non-formal education system or the Pre-University education system.
Masters of Arts in Education, Masters of Arts in Development:
* Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (including Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Commerce, Management, etc.)
* Undergraduate students who are appearing for their final examinations and are expecting their results by July 2011 are also eligible to apply. These students, if selected, will be given provisional admission pending their results. Candidates who are in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree and applying for provisional admission and have not passed some of their main / major / subsidiary courses from the first / second year are not eligible to apply. The offer of provisional admission stands cancelled, if the candidate fails in his / her final year exam.
* Candidates with work experience in the education or development domains are encouraged to apply.
Selection Process:
Eligible candidates will be required to write an Admissions Test at the following centres:
North: Delhi, Dehra Dun, Haldwani, Uttarkashi, Srinagar (Uttarakhand), Lucknow, Bareilly, Allahabad, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Raipur
South: Bangalore, Mangalore, Dharwad, Hassan, Gulbarga, Bellary, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Vijaywada, Calicut, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Madurai and Pondicherry
East: Kolkata, Patna, Ranchi, Bhubaneshwar, Baripada and Guwahati
West: Mumbai, Nagpur, Panjim, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur
How to Apply:
Candidates can apply in any one of the three ways listed below:

* Download the form from the link: http://119.226.135.34:8080/APU/ApplicationForm.pdf and fill by hand.
* Request for an application form (in areas where internet connectivity is low) by writing to: Admissions Cell, Azim Premji University, 134, Doddakannelli, Next to Wipro Corporate Office, Sarjapur Road, Bangalore 560 035. Enclose a self-addressed A4 sized cloth backed or thick envelope with a postal stamp of Rs.50 accompanied with a request letter containing details of address, contact no. etc.
An application fee of Rs.500 (plus bank charges of Rs.25 extra) has to be paid at the closest branch of State Bank of India using the Application fee payment challan.
