Madurai Kamaraj University has invited applications for admission to M.Sc. (Aqua Marine Ecology & Toxicogenomics) course of the academic year of 2011-12.
Selection procedure: Based on entrance examination scheduled at University campus on 29-05-2011
Entrance test will be objective type and exam centre will be only at Madurai.
Course Outlines of the Entrance Test: The Entrance Test will cover the areas of Marine Biology, Coral Reef Ecology, Marine Pollution and Toxicology, Marine Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Immunology and Biotechnology at the under Graduate level.
Eligibility:
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences (Biology / Biochemistry / Botany / Zoology / Marine Biology / Microbiology / Biotechnology or equivalent of a recognized Indian or Foreign University are eligible). Candidates should have scored a minimum of 55% marks in the subject Part-III. 50% marks for SC & ST Categories.
Candidates should have studied under 10+2+3 or 10+1+4 or 10+3+2 pattern
Candidates who are undergoing the VI Semester/ III year (Non-Semester) of the UG course with or without arrears are eligible to apply for PG courses.
