IFTM University will conduct Entrance Test and Personal Interview on September 25, 2011 (Sunday) from 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM (02 hours) and from 3.00 PM onward respectively at IFTM University Campus, Delhi Road, Moradabad, for admission in Ph.D. Programme in the following disciplines:
Management, Pharmacy, Computer Applications, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Eligibility:
The candidate applying for Ph.D. Programme in a particular discipline must have a Master’s degree in relevant/ appropriate discipline/ field/ subject with first division.
Where the division is not awarded, the applicant must have obtained a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 6.75 on 10 point scale in Master’s degree. If a candidate has obtained a Master’s degree by Research only, then in his/ her case, the requirement of first division/ CGPA will be waived off provided the candidate has at least one publication in a refereed journal of repute. The candidate in Applied Sciences and Humanities & Social Sciences will also be considered with not less than 55% marks in Master’s degree. Relaxation of 5% in the marks of qualifying degree is applicable only for SC/ST candidates.
Further, a candidate holding Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Pharmacy with Honour’s having CGPA of 8.25 and above on a 10 point of scale, and five years of teaching/research experience with at least one publication in refereed journal of repute, can be considered for admission to Ph.D. programme.
Exemption from Entrance Test and Personal Interview for admission:
Candidates who have qualified UGC/ CSIR NET/ JRF/SLET examination or any other equivalent examination conducted by the recognized Government Department/ Institute/Agency or having valid GATE/ GPAT score or having successfully completed regular M.Phil. Programme from a recognized University/ Institution; or the teacher fellowship holders of the recognized College/ University/ Institution, provided that the competent employing authority issues a No Objection Certificate to the candidate to join the Ph.D. programme.
