Kerala University PG Admission 2011

Kerala University invited applications for admission to the Centralized Allotment for PG Courses in the Government / Aided / Unaided Arts and Science Colleges affiliated to the University of Kerala during the academic year 2011-12.
Eligibility for Admission:
1) Nativity: Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Candidates seeking admission to PG courses will be categorized as Keralite and Non-Keralite
a. Keralite: A candidate of Kerala origin will be categorized as a Keralite. Children of All India Service Officers allotted to Kerala Cadre are deemed to be Keralites as per G.O. (Rt) No.822/08/H.Edn. Dated 9-5-2008. But they will not be eligible for communal/special reservation.
b. Non-Keralite: A candidate who does not come under Keralite category will be categorized as Non-Keralite. Such a candidate will be eligible for admission only after all the applicants of Keralite origin are ranked and allotted.
2) Academic: a. Candidates should have passed the corresponding Degree examination under the 10+2+3 pattern with one main subject and two subsidiary subjects from any of the Universities in Kerala or of any other University recognized by the University of Kerala as equivalent thereto for admission, subject to the stipulation regarding marks.
b. Double or Triple main candidates or candidates who have passed the Degree Examination in Vocational or Specialized Courses are also eligible for admission. However, they have to submit copy of the Equivalency and Eligibility certificate from the University of Kerala, stating that, their qualifying examination is recognized for seeking admission to the relevant PG Degree program(s) as applicable, along with their application.

Relaxation in Marks in the Qualifying examination: Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe Category: The minimum mark in the qualifying examination for admission to the PG Degree courses of studies is 35%.
SEBC Category: A relaxation of 2% marks in the qualifying examination from the prescribed minimum is allowed.
How to Apply: Candidates have to apply online for admission to various P.G Degree Courses in affiliated colleges of the University through a single registration.
A candidate will have the facility to apply for various courses and colleges through a single registration. However the candidate has to submit the duly attested acknowledgment, which will be obtained. On successful completion of the online application, the candidate will receive an acknowledgment which has to be attested and submitted along with the supporting documents and mark lists (which are also to be duly attested ) mentioned hereafter to reach The Registrar, University of Kerala, Palayam, Trivandrum—695 034.

Registration Fee:
The Registration Fee will be as follows:
a. For General candidates: Rs.200/-
b. For SC / ST candidates : Rs.75/-

The Registration Fee can be remitted to the A/C No. 67153233669 in any branch of State Bank Travancore using the special Chalan of Kerala University available in the ‘download Chalan’ link of the websites. The original pay-in-slip (University’s Copy) from the bank should be submitted along with the acknowledgment another documents to the Kerala University.

    08.08.2011 (Monday) - 10 am to 16.08.2011 (Tuesday) - 5 pm
Publication of accepted data and details regarding defective applications: 20.08.2011- 5 pm
Time for rectifying defects in applications: 20.08.2011 - 5 pm to 23.08.2011- 5 pm
Trial allotment:    25.08.2011 (Thursday) - 5 pm
Time for rearranging options and adding new options:  26.08.2011 - 5 pm to 27.08.2011 - 5 pm
First Allotment:  29.08.2011 (Monday) - 5 pm
Allotted candidates to remit fee in SBT and time for rearranging / deleting higher options:
    31.08.2011 (Wednesday) to 02.09.2011 (Friday)
Second Allotment:    04.09.2011 (Sunday)
Candidates remit fee in SBT:  05.09.2011 to 06.09.2011
Candidates to report for admissions in colleges: 06.09.2011  to 07.09.2011
Commencement of Classes:      19.09.2011 (Monday)
