Calicut University PG Distance Education admission 2011-12

Applications have been invited by School of Distance Education, Calicut University, Kerala for admission to following Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Professional Courses of Academic Session 2011-12.

Post Graduate Course offered & eligibility:

MSc Mathematics:
Pass with 50% in Part III BSc Maths main excluding subsidiaries.
MCom Finance/ Marketing:
Pass with 45% in BCom Part III / BBA / BBS / BBM
MA Economics:
Pass with 45% in BA Economics / Foreign Trade/Developmental Economics or 70% in BSc Maths / Statistics.
MA Sociology, History, Political Science, Philosophy:
Pass with 45% in Part III main of any degree excluding subsidiaries.
MA English:
Pass with 45% in BA English Part III Main / Part I of BA / BSc (3 papers)
MA Malayalam, Hindi, Arabic, Sanskrit, Tamil:
Pass with 45% in Part III BA Main of the concerned subjects or 45% in Part II of BA / BSc (3 papers) languages concerned.
Admission Procedure

(1) Applications are to be submitted online

(2) Take the printout of the application. Attest the photo in the printout copy with a Gazetted Officer and forward to the Director, School of Distance Education, University of Calicut, Calicut University PO, Pin 673635 with following documents:
    i. Original chalan receipt for the required fee.
    ii. Original and photocopies of Transfer Certificate, Qualifying Certificate and mark lists.
    iii. Original Community Certificate, Nativity Certificate / Income Certificates in case of SC / ST / OEC / OBC for relaxation in minimum marks.
    iv. Certificate from the authority for relaxation in minimum marks in case of teachers, Govt. employees, University employees etc.
    v. Attested copy of the relevant page of SSLC or equivalent exam as proof of Date of Birth.
    vi. A passport size photograph with name and address on the back.
    vii. 3 self addressed stamped (5/-) envelopes (12x5 inches).

(3) Candidates have to report for spot admission with printout of application, fee receipts, and all original certificates and get admitted. The certificates will be returned on the spot. Spot admission fee Rs.50/- (to be remitted by chalan).

Other Fees:
1. Application fee - 200/-
2. Admission fee - 250/- (1000/- in the case of Diploma in Foreign Trade).

4. State Bank of Travancore (Selected Branches): No II Current Account of the Finance Officer, Calicut University.
5. Friends Janasevana Kendram at Calicut, Malappuram, Palakkad and Thrissur.

Last Date for Online application is (Without fine) 11.11.2011 and (With fine of Rs.100/-) 18.11.2011
Printouts of Online applications are to reach Calicut University on or before November 23, 2011.
