Bangalore university distance education department invited application for the admission to Degree and PG courses for the academic year of 2013.
Under Graduate courses
BA , BCom , BBM (B.Com and BBA English Medium only)
Eligibility: Pass in Pre-University Examination of Karnataka or any equivalent examination(10+2 pattern)
Post Graduate courses
MA: (Kannada, English, Hindi, ‘Telugu, ‘Urdu)
Eligibility: BA / BSc / BCom degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree there to with 55% of marks in the language concerned under Part-I or 50% of marks in the concerned optional or who have passed examination as noted below shall be eligible for registration to Master’s degree course along with the above degree.
a) Pass in Kannada Rathna or Pandit Examination for M.A. in Kannada.
b) Pass in Rashtra Bhasha Visharada Examination of Dakshina Bharath Hindi Prachara Sabha or any other examination considered as equivalent there to for MA in Hindi.
MA: History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology (Kannada / English Medium)
Eligibility: BA degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree there to with 40% of marks in the aggregate of the optional subjects and at least 50% of marks in the concerned optional or major subjects of the course
MA Philosophy (English Medium only)
Eligibility: Any Bachelor Degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree there to with Philosophy, Logic, Ethics, Religion, Theology, Aesthetics, Yoga or Sanskrit as one of the Optional Subjects and at least 50% of marks in the concerned optional subject or those with a degree in Arts or Science minimum 50% of marks aggregate of optional are also eligible.
MCom (English Medium only):
Eligibility: BCom Degree examination of any recognized University or equivalent degree there to securing not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate in Commerce subjects in all the examinations of the BCom degree course.
MSc (Mathematics) (English Medium only) Eligibility: BSc Degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree there to securing not less than 40% of marks in the aggregate in Optional subjects and 50% of marks in the Mathematics. (Candidates who have passed Mathematics as Minor or Subsidiary subjects are not eligible).
3. External Courses
MA in Sanskrit: Eligibility : BA / BSc / BCom degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree there to with 55% of marks in language concerned under Part-I or those who have passed BA / BSc / BCom degree examination and who have passed Sahitya examination shall be eligible for Registration to Master’s Degree in Sanskrit.
MA in French: Eligibility: BA French or BA / BSc / BCom with French as Second language of any recognized University and with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks or BA / BSc / BCom of Bangalore University or any other University recognized as equivalent there to with Diploma of Superior of the Alliance Franchise in any other recognized Institution
Apart from above distance education courses Bangalore university is offering degree open University system. No formal educational qualification is required.Those who have completed 18 years of age as on 1st November 2012. Courses: BA (Kannada / English) BCom (English Medium only)
Filling the Applications forms

Candidates have to remit Rs.350/- towards processing fee in any one of the 'Bangalore-One / Karnataka-One Centres (list of Bangalore one / Karnataka One Centers are given in website).
Application forms can also be submitted online.
The candidates should enter the receipt No. of Bangalore-One / Karnataka-One in the appropriate Column of the application form with their affixed photograph while submitting the application Online
The eligible candidates will be informed through e-mail / SMS
Candidates are required to be present in person along with their original documents in support of their qualifications etc., as required by the Directorate.
The Candidates who are seeking admission in DCC & DE to II & III Year of UG Degree and Final year PG degree courses should also submit their applications through on-line after remitting Rs.350/- (Processing fee) in Bangalore-One/Karnataka-One Centers, as stated above.
