civil service exam GS paper syllabus

GS Paper I
This paper (200 marks) contains 100 questions. Each questions carries 2 marks. There is negative marking also. Intelligence guesses not wild guesses.
Expected questions from different areas of the Gs syllabus. Although there is no hard and fast rule about it


Indian policy and governance : max 20 questions
Economy : max 20 questions
History : max 10 questions
Geography : max 8 questions
Ecology and environment : max 6 questions
Current affairs : max 10 questions

GS papar II
This paper has unofficially acquired the acronym of CSAT(civil services aptitude test ). it contains 200 marks . IT has a total 80 questions with each question carrying 2.5 marks. This paper also carries negative marks.

logical reasoning and analytical ability : 9 questions
decision making : 9 questions
General mental ability 8 questions
basic numeracy 7 questions
English comprehension 15 questions
